Seems simple doesn’t it?
I would love to share that this is my daily morning routine mantra or that I don’t allow negative thoughts to ever enter my “space”. However, truth be told, I would be lying.
I will share with you that over the past few months, it has felt as though the universe is trying to test me to see where I’ll land or how I’ll deal with it all. While there were moments of doubt, worry, and certainly some uncontrollable, ugly face crying, I am still standing tall and don’t plan to fall.
How? Why? This part IS simple…The Power of Positivity and the ability to practice Creative Visualization (all alongside self-care, meditation and moments of peace) and, while I understand that may not be for you…now, I promise that it does help. It does make a difference and, more than anything, it will shift you into the right gear that you need to be in to get through it.
Now, this doesn’t mean that I go around singing and dancing around the house 24/7 and act like I am totally fine when I might be slipping into moments of negative thoughts, but what I will tell you is that I allow myself to feel my thoughts – momentarily – and then throw on a good song, step away, take a walk, or close my eyes and visualize what I want to feel in this moment that will bring me to a brighter place when I open my eyes.
This is what works for me and all I ask is that if you are having negative thoughts or feeling as though it’s you against the world, allow yourself to feel those emotions, but only momentarily. The power of positivity is real y’all and it will change your life – if you let it.
Find the practice that works for you and don’t let anything stand in your way.
